Why is it that we feel utterly happy one moment yet after we discover that another person got more of something than we did, we feel dejected? E bakit sya?!!Okay okay … binabawi ko ang sinabi ko previously about Anne Curtis in Maging Sino Ka Man. Hindi sya “manunulot”. It’s JB who’s spineless. In the episode today, JB (Sam Milby) gave Celine (Anne Curtis) flowers to say he’s sorry. Celine was so thrilled with the fact that JB gave her flowers that she went to her cousin’s house with the intention of telling her dear cousin of the real deal between her and JB. Her cousin, Jackie, by the way is JB’s girlfriend. While waiting for her cousin, she saw that JB also sent Jackie flowers. What hurt her most was probably the fact that the arrangement was bigger and more elaborate. So she rushed outside and stomped on the flowers that she so lovingly stared at the whole day.

I think we sometimes behave like this too (let’s not analyze JB’s spineless behavior for now because it isn’t worth it). It’s hard to be contented in a world when we see others having more than we do. Maybe it’s a matter of channeling all these emotions to something positive that we can actually push ourselves to be better persons. Move on! Ika nga, “Move along … move along … Nothing to see here…” Seeing someone better off should not be envied but it should give us hope. Some day, we could be that person too, if we strive hard enough. It’s not an impossibility! Didn’t they once say, there’s happiness because there’s sadness? We only realize the gravity of what we’ve achieved because we have something to measure it against. Let’s not allow this inequality in the world to drain our happiness. Let’s not allow this to have its last say of “E Bakit Sya?!” Let’s answer back! “So ano ngayon?”
