The day before Dinagyang, Kasadyahan were being celebrated (lit. means happiness). Well, I arrived in Iloilo about 6:30am via CebuPacific (twas a bit late by 10-15min from ETA due to air twafik they’re yaking about in the MNL airport, sheeeesh) … anyway, the festivities started about 8am in the morning and I was late all because of getting my MEDIA ID (yahhooo!! my very first, hehehe) … since I have to fetch it in PIA (Phil. Info. Agency) which is just about .3km away from the Freedom Grandstand … people gave me different directions and nilagpasan ko yung office 2x by about .2km and ang init pa, tsk!
Lesson 1 : know what is needed and where to get it … always get the specific address … if given a foreign word always ask what is the meaning of it esp. if its an acronym … don’t just bluntly say “aahh, yes” and acting like know it stupid! hahaha
… coz different people will always give you different directions!

Nikonians (L-R) Leo Solinap, Nygel, Vincent, Anton, and MEEEE!
Well, I was so happy that I’ve found the place and got my ID … literally I’m now an official photographer for the said event, bwahaha. I have to walk back again to Freedom and buy some water as the sun really burning my skin.
Lesson 2 : if you want to preserve your complexion, bring sun-block and should be non-greasy as it may transfer to your gear

the Freedom Grandstand
Anyway, I have 2G for my 2 cam and guess what? wasn’t enough and I have to borrow another gig from Sir.Anton Sheker, wahehehe nakakahiya man but I have no choice kC wla na eh, hehehe … Thanks Sir! ![]()
Lesson 3 : Memory … Memory … MEMORY CARDS!!! … you will never have enough for this event! believe me …

me with my ID, nyahahaha
Lesson 4 : long and fast lenses will really help you a lot as the performers we’re really dynamic, fast, energetic, and doesn’t repeat their moves … as Leo said, if you like the shot… shoot it or you will lose the chance to take it forever..

free drink given to me, yummy!
and the last lesson …
Lesson 5 : If you are not on a tight budget better get a hotel room than crashing-in to your relatives … not because its ain’t fun nor disrespecting nor no time for them but you’ll loose the chance to really experience and immerse yourself to the festivities since iisipin mo lagi na bumalik na sa bahay kasi hinahanap ka na nila dahil nag-aalala sila sa iyo or they want you to meet your long-lost kins ![]()
