yesterday the city government of Makati, through its Museum and Cultural Affairs Office (MCAO) celebrated the Caracol Festival 2008 which was considered as the city’s unique version of the Mardi Gras. Though it was staged at Goldcrest but Malou and I together with several friends decided to stay at the Ayala Museum to get a glimpse of the said festival and take pics..

lipad Makati

Well its kinda frustrating to see that the performers were just walking and not performing its routine dance , grrr … but twas kewl that the parade went on even twas drizzling but we’re expecting that they’ll perform while going to Goldcrest from Gabriela monument in Ayala Ave. hahaha … I think the festival is still on its early stage and it would be great if the organizers on the next 2009 Caracol will put judges on the streets so that they’ll perform dancing and not marching ;)
