last Saturday night I bought from Amazon a Camera Armor for my Nikon D200 body plus the battery grip … my cam been suffering on a body-rubber peeling issue that’s quite famous for high end Nikon camera’s … which is quite funny as the term HIGH-END!!! … well, I can let Columbia fix the problem but of cor’z I’ll be shelling out money for it but oh well … until I’ve read about this rubber-plastic like condoms for my camera which is quite new … so I’m giving it a try as I got a $75 buks to cash out btw, hahahaha …
Hope it’ll arrive before Malou’s leaving this Friday so that I’ll be able to review by next week ![]()

the armor with lens as well … but didn’t get one, hehe
geeeeeez, bakit ang bilis ngayon ng Nikon, sheeesh!!! anyway, both happy and sad about this news which I recently read in dpreview.com … they’ll be launching the cams + lenses (YES!!! new lenses since they have a new format, FX after DX type lenses) some of the major highlights of the said new cams are the Nikon EXPEED image processor, 9fps for D3 and 6-8fps for D300, self-cleaning sensor, Live View, and obcorz higher MegPix …

the new Nikon D3 | Guide price: D3 body only £3399.99 / €5180

the new Nikon D300 | Guide price: D300 body only £1299.99 / €1980
just when you thought that we’ve heard it all … after a short 4 months that Nikon released the D40, they’ll be launching the new D40X which is just an upgrade version of D40 … whew!!! ang bilis … it is targeting to compete with the Canon 400D, hehe … anyway, the maj. difference of the two is that D40X is a 10.2MegaPix, ISO sensitivity up to 100, and 3 fps (frames per second) while D40 is a 6MegaPix, ISO sensitivity 200, and 2.5 fps

The second ‘designed for the D40′ accessory today is the SB-400 Speedlight, a compact yet powerful external flash with a tilting front (horizontal, 60, 75 and 90 degrees). This unit has a guide number of 21 (m at ISO 100 at 18mm) and has a shooting distance of 60 cm to 20 m (2 to 66 ft).
Pero if ako ang tatanungin? I’ll stick to SB600 (pag may budget SB800) at least flexible yung ulo and GN (ISO 100) is 98 ft, 30m @ 35mm … not sure yet how much yung street price sa Pinas since it will be released worldwide by next month, December ‘06 … looking the design you’ll see that this is kewl for a landscape shot not with portrait wherein the advantage of SB600 comes in … wais ang marketing, hehehe … just our2cents ![]()
