twas been a while we haven’t posted anything as Malou and I went home to Bacolod, the city where we grew up for a few days rest and to enjoy our families … last Friday we went out to Bob’s cafe (owned by Bob’s but presented like a Starbuks, hehe) just to hang around with each other and tinkering with Malou’s MacBook plus installing and testing Photoshop CS2 to check how much is the difference running it on OS X platform … and I’m glad to say that it was waaay different, hahaha … I’m thinking that I might buy a mouse for the Mac as I’m not a fan of touch-pad’s.

this old Spanish house in Batangas is owned by the Pastor-Acosta, the family of Gina Pastor … once you enter the place, I’m sure you’ll stop a bit in awe of its splendor kasi maganda talaga sya … we’ll before we started shooting, we already roamed the place and start taking photos, hahahaha … twas really kewl.
The Pastor House is an example of a turn-of- the-century type of residence. It was originally owned by Mr. Alejo Acosta, the barrio Captain of Batangas in 1883. It has been related that William Howard Taft, the Governor General assigned in the Philippines during the American Occupation, visited this house, and during his visit, his assassination was attempted by a sniper. To this day, the bullet that would have ended his life is still lodged in one of the doors of the house.

yesterday my fellow Flickr friends and I went to Batangas for a fun shoot with several models in an old Spanish house owned by the Pastor-Acosta’s … lil did I know that our host daughter, Gina will have their prenuptial pictorial with her fiancé, Philippe … both of them are kewl couples and so is Gina’s Dad who is generous, kewl, and very kind to let our tongue taste the culinary arts of the Batangenio’s … which if I would put it into words is very masarrrraaaaaaaaap!!! interesting to know din that the way they cooked their adobo is very the similar sa mga Bacolenios, the province I hailed from hehehe ![]()
well … God bless to you both Philippe and Gina and wishin you a happy and joyous journey in life as a couple ![]()

if you remember last June my friend Linus Escandor a photojournalist lost his gear (
Fotog falls prey to Bukas Kotse Gang) … I was amazed to know that most of his gear was recovered by the police … his camera-body, lens, flash, and etc … except the bag and several AA batteries which is really fine … kudos to MPD Chief Investigator Alex Yanquiling for successfully recovering the stolen gears ![]()
